The only piece of information I could get was, that it's got 150cc, single cylinder, four stroke engine.

Should have called it a "Baron TM-125".

A bit late the premium-stealthfighter-125 show, but it looks OK. I expect they'll wuss out and give it 13hp or so rather than the full fat 11kW/15hp though.

hi,
i like the look olf that. i like it a lot.

IF it does go into production resembling anything like those pics, i reckon it could be a top seller.
sleeved down to 125cc for us in uk, & it could be the bike of choice for 17yr olds who only have the cbr/cbf commuters to choose from at present.
considering the cbr 125 is one of the top selling new 125's (it is, isnt it?)
it could be hondas answer to the yam yzfr-125 (nice looking, if you like that sort of thing) & the ktm duke 125 (nice looker shame its built out of chocolate)
i know its the opposite of what i normally like (small, fast 2 strokes) but seeing as its a 150cc, the uk version should be easy to return to 150cc, so, finally a honda 4 stroke that can actually be "de-restricted" by simply fitting a new top end & isnt a thai budget commuter wrapped in plastic.

cheers,
GAZ

It was until the YZF-R125 held it down and violated it, although to be fair Honda are still shifting over 1,000 CBRs a year while the YZF looks to have tailed off a little this year.

The Duke 125 gets the attention but has sold 1500+ all-in to date. MT-125 is too early to tell, but I expect it'll take some of that KTM market.

Thing is, having multiple premium 125s available won't magically create more Yoofs willing and able to finance them, so they might just end up cutting themselves smaller slices of the pie.

If it gets built exactly like that I'd trade my CBR in a heartbeat provided it's the full 15bhp 11kw jobbie. It's fucking beautiful.

cheers,

Shocked Want!

It looks like it could be a good size, and well built. I would quite happily take one of those. I think that it looks nicer than the YZR to boot.

I like small bikes, but 125cc is just a little too small. It's a shame there aren't more 125 bikes with ~200 engines.

KTM tried it, but seemingly made the Duke125/200 out of CBF125 frames and alfa romeo electrical parts.

I'd especially like a 200cc MSX, but if I can't have one, a CRF250 might be next

KTM have been doing it for getting on for 20 years in a well specced bike with a durable chassis.
Also, a very much 'fun' engine that makes a respectable amount of power - ie 400cc single 4 stroke power, with a lively power deliver that offers a nice sparkle.

I would not buy it unless it came standard with proper mudguards, I reckon mudguards that actually do something should be compulsory and within the original price of the bike not an optional extra which costs as fortune and if not fitted costs a bigger fortune replacing corroded rear shocks, rotted sub frames, corroded engines, knackered electrics and soggy underseat sandwiches. IT is form over function and and ugly fecker to boot. Now , if it had a realistic asking price of around 1400 quid new which is all it is worth then I might consider it, until then I can buy a fair few brand new Chinese CG clones that will easily outlive this hairdryer.

They're just going back to their roots of ripping off other people's bikes.

Cannot help but think that the name stands for 'Sweet Fuck All', bad omen perhaps? Confused

I fully agree. Shortie mudguards are a particular bĂȘte noire of mine.

Thing is, they are compulsory.

"motor cycles [...] shall be equipped with wings or other similar fittings to catch, so far as practicable, mud or water thrown up by the rotation of its wheels"

As always, the law means nothing unless enforced.
