I think the price will go up as well but am disgusted with the capitalistic nature of the company these days. No more money from me. I'm better of with another motorcycle.

There are many bikes that I would like.

Has anyone seen the advert for the MV Agusta Superveloce? Damn, I want one. Advert has done the trick. Guaranteed it is worth a look if you haven't seen it.

Really can't get over that video.

Anyway, I have been searching for an SC28 CBR900RR Fireblade in my colours and have got three to look at located within 60 miles. Also keen on one with only 19k miles but that is down in Herefordshire.

Will have one soon Evil or Very Mad

I see that you can winterise your bike and protect it from Covid at the same time. Vacuum packing it for the winter. I'm seriously thinking about trying it. Good idea for long term storage, a simple concept that I never thought of. What do you think? Can get them for less than it costs for someone to coat your bike in AC50.

I'll try and convince myself that anything to do with bike is a good buy. I'll try it out. Saves having to garage my bike 3 miles away if it is coated in an all over body condom and I'm to stoned to ride it home to its garage. Just cover the bike, go for a smoke come back and your pride and joy is vacuum packed viola.

Could even vacuum pack yourself if you and your partner are that way inclined

Delivered today, look great together. To be honest I like the 400 babyblade better, the Fireblade, I know was light in it's day. It's a bit to big for me, Keeping it though.

I once had a similar pair when I had 199 R1 and R6 at the same time.

Need to figure out whether I should ride them during winter, likely just use the Ninja coated in ACF50. Ninja is now down the pecking order.

Anyway am bike satisfied for the mean time.

I have actually been looking at the 250. Can't seem to find any for sale in the livery I'd want. 19000 revs is ace, bet it sounds great.

They must make you grin every time you open the garage.

How you finding the big one? It was a poster bike I idolised as a kid, unfortunately that meant when I finally got to try one, well you know the saying about meeting your heroes.

Huh, I liked my old Foxeye RRN, although it was unrecognizable by the time I'd tricked it out.
The RRX was a phenomenal machine and didn't blow up even though it had no limiter to keep the revs out of the red - although I did have to rebuild the bottom end because the previous oick had muellered it!!

The weather's been not good so haven't had enough of a go on the Fireblade to make a judgment. Love the 400 though The Fireblades is in a bit to good condition for winter riding so have left it parked for now. It also scares me. The 400 is showing it's age more so no problems out in the wet, what's another rusted fairing screw and chain between friends.
Nice bikes to have I think.

250 is my next goal, then trade in/swap the Ninja for a cbr 600rr....... Laughing

Well I have been looking for a 250 in the livery I wanted. There's none about, not in the UK anyway.

So while looking I stumbled across this CBR600 1993 import in the exact livery I want. This livery was not released in the UK. Most cheapness as well.

So I have bought it as I really can't help myself.. Just need the 250 now Smile

My daughter is quite happy with the prospect of her inheritance consisting of thoroughly colourable motorbikes. To tell the truth I think she was surprised that she was getting any inheritance.

Delivered next Tuesday

Fuck it I'm on a roll of mania. Can't really afford any of this but it's better than buying one only 6 grand newer bike. So I keep telling myself.

Sorry for the mememe posts

The 400 is great fun, exhaust note is fantastic. Fireblade locked away for the winter. 400 Bike of choice until the CBR600 comes on Tuesday.

My mate managed to get an action shot of me on the Babyblade.

Just got it, In good condition for the money. I think I got a bargain but depends on how you look at it I suppose.

Needs a new tyre and battery then good to go. Not been MOT'd since 2017. Think it would fail on the rear tyre.

£1200. I've spent more than that on a night out, really I have. Don't play poker in a casino against seasoned players when your drunk. Don't pay for lap dancers and drinks at £25 a shot followed by a hookers in the bath tub. Then trying to explain to your wife the reason for being 24 hours late back from my offshore job.

Been robbed twice second time by 3 hookers in Tenerife. Black Life's matter my arse on that particular evening.
Here's my new bike. Smile Don't think it's as bonnie looking as the 400 and 900.

Probably not a good idea but I'm seriously thinking about trading in my Ninja 650 for a VFR 1200. I had one before and though heavy and bulky was nice to ride and was surprisingly really agile. It is stupid smooth quick.
It was 2010 when these bikes first appeared. I think the supposed marmite styling was ahead of its time.

How do you guys feel about the 2010 VFR1200?

This is the one I've been looking at below. Quite like it in the grey.

Attached also my old white one with my wife on it a few years back. She couldn't ride and this was one of the few times she'd agreed t be pillion. She was tidy in the leathers., but that's not important right now. Touring I'm going to be doing more of. And the 650 70hp with Oxford lifetime bags, that feckin leak. Anyway. Smile

It's so hideous (the bike) I want to run it over with a train. However you can't see that when riding it so if it suits your need do it.

Why did you get rid of the old one though?

The sound of the Honda V4 at full chat is quite something. I blew the exhaust gaskets on mine doing Mallory (Met JPS guy on here that day) and coupled with the Remus pipe made it sound glorious. Handles better than you think doesn't it. Thumbs Up

Och it's beautiful in my eyes, but I've never been that fussy.

I read back in this thread as to why I sold the VFR. It was because it was too heavy and found my R6 was better fun.

Today I maybe would like a touring bike to go with the back crippling sports bikes now.

Yes it handled really well I was really confident The sound was strange, very different but I only had the stock exhaust. V4 makes an individualistic sound that growls like mad. Doesn't scream like a straight 4 sports bike at high revs.

I'm talking myself into it Shocked

700 Deauville might be a better choice - all the touring, none of the weight or fuel consumption.

I know big old lumps are tempting (I love the VFR12) but there's no loss of pride in going for the more practical option, despite what some of the twats on here might say.

So had a race, drag race with a couple of very slight curves, with my mate on his CBR650R at 94 or so HP. Me on the Ninja 650 at 68 odds HP.

He weighs 16 stone, I weigh only 9 1/2 stone

We both got to about 120 before slowing down.

Who got there quickest?

Well surprisingly enough we were almost equal. He would have pulled away from me after 120 but my wee Ninja gave as good as it got. Goes to show that being a fat person is only detrimental to your racing career, should you ever have one. I recommend you do.

CBR 600 needed new carbs, not too bad I suppose.

Adrenaline when on a bike beats any thought of mental illness hands down. Smile

Carbs and fuel valve for the 600. Give the bike a good service and clean and then ready to go....hopefully.

I'm happy with my current track toy which is an SV, however I'd like something more sporty, not the liner muncher though. 9apps
