I received a set of replacement piston rings 0.50 oversize as a loose set without a box.

The top two rings are correct at 0.50, but I think there is something wrong with the oil control ring(s) I received in that the diameter is not wide enough, I believe them to be standard size rather than 0.50.

My old oil control ring is the old 1 piece type and matches the diameter of the upper two rings.

So can anyone tell me if this is correct, are the new type meant to be smaller? Doesn't seem right to me? Please have a look at the photos attached.

There will be a recommended correct end gap, when the ring is in the bore.

As said put the rings in the bore and measure the gaps, make sure they are in square by tamping them with the skirt of a piston.
