Nice find by plod but there's only 25-30 bikes there, a drop in the ocean really.
Probably a mornings work in London by the robbers.

I'd say there's a higher chance your nicked bike is being ragged by pikeys.

The real question is are we enriched enough yet?
I wish I could say I am surprised to see this but alas no.

It's a common market, thieving scum shouldn't feel constrained by mere geographical borders any more.

How come Lithuanian Dibble can identify that those (still plated) bikes have been stolen, but UK Customs didn't spot them leaving the country? Are they only bothered about illegally seizing cars from returning booze cruisers?

If they have found them does that mean owners are responsible for paying costs to get them back

Surely it's the insurance company that needs to foot the bill for the recovery? if its worth recovering that is.

Less the excess.

I've had a look though Bennett's policy and can't see any specific clauses that would let them avoid it. It's a loss consequent to a theft.

Oh, if it's not your bike (hp or other secured finance) then they can pay out to the actual owner and be done with it.

They don't have to lift a finger to arrange anything.

Know any reputable Lithuanian motorcycle transporters?

Perhaps they hid and didn't declare them. Damn clever these foreigners.

The cunning hounds. What chance have trained professionals got to do the thing that they're employed to do?

Here's more how I imagine it went, because I an cynical and racialist.

HMRC Harry: I can't help but notice that you're proceeding out of the country with a truck full of motorcycles, sir.
Borislav: I is buy. For personal use. Also, gift.
HMRC Harry: And do you have the keys and the new keeper slips?
Borislav: Cousin Slaviboris has, he is take plane.
HMRC Harry: [doesn't see anything that he can levy tax or duty on] Well, that makes perfect sense, sir. On your way.

MCN or VD posted an article last year about a huge haul of stolen motorbikes being found in a warehouse.

From a guy's bike who had a tracker on it, if I remember correctly. They followed the van (from a distance) that is was being transported in, whilst on a euro trip I believe.

What I don't get is how they're planning to start some of those bikes? Al the BMWs there will have an immobiliser so unless they're planning to break them for parts (surely would have done that in England) or they got the keys somehow...(thought mose bike thefts were lifting them into a van jobs) I don't get what use they are?

immoblisers are a joke and can easily be bypassed if you have the right software and hardware.

i have both for the Yamaha R1 07-08 model via flash tune

once the ecu is reflashed there is no more immobliser and away you go.

there are plenty of firms who offer this service
