Motofest in Coventry is a festival of motoring, celebrating in part Coventry's part in motor manufacture from bikes to cars / busses anything.

It's open to cars built before 1995 and bikes before 2000

That's the Coventry Festival of Motoring which is funded by the same gov heritage funds as keeps the Cov transport museum and other attractions open.

MotoFest is a separate event and organisation - these guys lobbied for the law to be changed to allow racing on closed public roads so they can have racing on the ring-road.

It's very much going ahead.

I was waiting for someone to post up about this rather than self promote. Laughing

I've been on the organisation team to get together a few more bike related things for the past 6 months.

The NMRRC will be having a display/track.

JHP Ducati will be bringing along a few classic race bikes and Capirossi's old GP bike.

Triumph will have a few new bikes on show.

Some members of the CRMC will be bringing along some classic race bikes.

The Ace Cafe will be have a music stage outside the motor museum and there will be a one night only nightclub under a newly built section of the ring road.

Theres lots of other things on the go, but I dont know all the details yet.

I would be up for it, but it is miles away from me in the south east, meaning hotels and what not.

Not something I want to do on my own.

Didn't even know this existed, only down the road in Birmingham too. Looks good! Will most likely pop down if the weather's decent.

Definitely looking to go, will also be nostalgic as I spent three years wasting my life at Coventry University many moons ago..

Yep, but with the car, not the bike. 50th anniversary celebration for the Triumph 1300
