Honestly I am this close -> <- to throwing it under a bus.

When I type a body of text, and I want to edit what I've said the backspace key does it's own thing, then the space key gets in on the act too. As I hit backspace it just seems to type a word I've used before with no other input from me. I'm pretty sure when I press space it chucks the next word in again too.

I've done a bunch of screen shots just now, I'll get them uploaded this morning to try and demonstrate what I mean.

Has it always done this or a recent problem? Keyboard updates? Tried a factory reset?

My Z3 does this too. Not a fault as such, but really really annoying.

Trick is to not edit part of a word. Delete the old word then put a new word in. When you edit adjacent to other letters it tries to assume what you want but if you edit adjacent to spaces it doesn't.

Glad it isn't purely me.

It's fairly recent, couple of months or so.

Basically if I hit the backspace key it adds the previously deleted word in whole to wherever I am backspacing. Hopefully this shows what I mean, I've not used any key in the following screenshots but the backspace key.

It's so rage inducing when it happens, all I want to do is delete a word and it sticks a bunch of shit in it's place.

My Z3 does this as well, it annoyed me so much that i disabled the predictive text feature to stop it doing it. Hopefully a fix will be forth coming soon if not then resolved in Android 5 when its finally f**king released by Sony

you can turn off predictive on most of the keyboards or at least the space for next word part.

Mine came with the Huawei version of swype, not too bad to use it has more emoticons that the google keyboard and is actually a little better at predicting what you aer trying to type.
