Kmx problems

Hi I have a kmx200 and the temp gauge doesn't seem to work. Not sure if it could be temp sensor or something else not to sure. Is there any way of testing it or will a sensor off another bike fit as I can't find one for a Kmx on ebay or anything. Thank:)))))))))))

I'm not too familiar with kmx's but on most bikes if you disconnect the wire from the sensor with the ignition on and ground it to the frame/engine for a short time the gauge should shoot up to full if its working ok.
