94 - 12,395 eur
94R - 15,010 eur

Triumph announced a special edition of their Speed triple to celebrate the very first Speed triple ever made, that was launched in 1994.

The 94 is pretty much the same thing as the current Speed triple.
The 94R (as seen in the pictures) will have some modifications such as Öhlins suspension, Brembo radial monoblock brakes and Pirelli Supercorsa tyres.

Both models will be available in Racing yellow and Jet black colours. As a reminder of the past, both motorcycles will have the original Speed triple logo on them + a label on the tank telling you, you're on a special edition motorcycle.

The shape of the headlights still reminds me of the horn-rimmed glasses of the old ladies in 'The Far Side' cartoons.

So the 94R is just a yellow Speed Triple R.

Triumph have so many options in front of them for the roadster range. They already cocked up the Street Triple RX, now they're cocking up a Speed Triple special as well.

They need to take a leap out of the Jeremy Clarkson book of Motor design-

Hopefully Triumph will see sense some day and return to the round lights.
Lights like these might look ok set in a fairing.

TBH they are growing on me. As long as the little fly screen is fitted I think they look ok.

I wonder if this is the speed triples swan song before a complete revamp/replacement. I'd be curious to see the numbers Triumph sell nowadays.

it's still a bored out 955

all of this model was new except for the engine, as long as they can keep modding it cheaply to pass the latest euro regs nothing changes

need to get a new big and brutal 11 or 1200 with shitloads of hp to match other manufacturers and low weight

Has the rider in the pics just passed their CBT and borrowed their dads kit? I have rarely seen someone look so uncomfortable riding a bike!!
