I've not bothered locking the bike to anything when at home, I live in a small quiet town, the bike lives up a small quiet back alley with a fair few security lights on other people's houses.

Last night the garden fence blew over which is leaving my bike a little exposed but not too much and I'm sure it'll be fine (put a disk lock on)

I'm re-laying the patio in a week or two's time so figure I might as well add a ground anchor while I'm at it even if I end up only using it when I'm away / over the weekend instead of daily (commute on the bike)

What's best, ground or wall?

Any specific ones recommended?

I know it's not going to stop someone who's determined but anyone determined to steal a ZZR isn't going to be after mine! but it'll help stop someone chancing their arm.

I'm using a Pragmasis Torc ground anchor. Does the job grand. Though after a couple of years of use the paint has chipped off.

However if you're relaying the patio, why not look at one of those Y shaped one that you bury and is flush to the floor. Less likely to trip over it, won't get in the way of pushing bike about and pretty tough to attack. Might make more sense. Like this one (first one I found on ebay)

Dig hole, fill with concrete, insert item.

Ghetto way, get a plant pot and 2 thick d locks.

Fill the pot with concrete, sink d locks in leaving enough for chain to pass through both.

Looks like garden item, weighs a fuck ton.

As Paddy describes Thumbs Up

Mine also has some wall anchors of sorts fitted in between the brickwork but they aren't too sturdy & look to have been from the 50's when the garage was added to the property.
