Lucky to only get a 15 month ban.

Very lucky. Didn't the guy caught doing 120 odd with a pillion get prison food? Good to see consistency as usual.

Rolling Eyes

Video shows the speed the copper was moving at, it's no surprise that he had to go faster than the biker to catch/keep up.

Highly trained Police riders would never, ever ride unsafely, right?

Highly trained Police rider performed exactly the same speeds, overtakes-on-the-left, and 100mph 'filtering' manoeuvres, yes?

So, what exactly did the non-highly trained Police rider do that was unsafe? Thinking

According to Essex Police, it's the highest speed that's been reached by a motorcyclist with a passenger on their vehicle.

I remain unconvinced.

Knock 60mph off of that video and it's me going to work in the mornings on exactly the same motorway. The only difference is that if I had a bike following me I'd let them go past, can't stand people behind me, they are unpredictable.

Pretty sure I was quicker on the back of my dad's gsxr1100 as a 12/13 year old. Was on the way back from Donnington GP, about 100 bikes stopped at the front of a closed motorway due to an accident. Police let all the bikes go. Hilarity ensued.

Ah, but you haven't got the certificate from the po-po to prove it. Fancy another crack? Laughing

I've put on years and stones in roughly equal measures. I'd be impressed if a bike dragged me as a pillion up to 150 these days Laughing

Disgusting, especially if he passed a taxi at that speed.

We all know the bike was being naughty, but what really gets my goat is all hose vehicles that should have been in the left hand lane and not in the two overtaking lanes. We need a firm campaign to get people to use the roads in the correct fashion.

This needs to be drilled into people from early school age as does first aid and proper cooking skills ironing and basic home maintenance.

Yup, if you are going to play fun and games with other bikers be sure to let them take the lead early on for at least a mile or two before demonstrating throttle prowess Wink

If it was so dangerous why didn't he put the blues and twos on earlier?

Because he needed time to get a proper lob on. They can't just go from cold to jizzing down their legs while shouting a hypocritical lecture at the climax of the chase.
