Mix some washing up liquid and water together and squirt it all over the tyre and look for bubbles emerging. Plenty around the valve.
If you find anything in the tread: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Emergency-Car-Van-Motorcycle-Tubeless-Tyre-Puncture-Repair-Kit-Tool-5-Strip-/231447778779?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35e35cd5db
Much better than slime/tyreweld IMO.
If you find it's coming from INSIDE the valve, try a new core before a new stem (you can probably get one free from a tyre shop or at least a few pennies). If that doesn't sort it, it's time for a new stem which isn't too hard to do yourself but can be time consuming and you'll probably need tyre levers and protectors.
If its in the sidewall, I'd give slime/tyreweld a go.
That's all if you can find the puncture. If you can't then slime/tyreweld's got to be worth a go. |
