Hi All,

I have just fitted these to my ER6F:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181052260032?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

They work a treat breaking the wind on my hands, question is how would I wire them into my side lights? I have used Wire Splicers before and know they can fail quite easily, is there a quick, cheap, effective way to wire these in properly?

I would just take it down the bike shop but I struggle to get down there within work hours!

Cheers

I used to cut and use spade terminals etc, I even used to use household electrical joiners where you tighten a screw. This was crap.

Now I would cut in to a wire and solder. I then would cover in self amalgamating tape.

Or why not use a relay, take a trigger from say the rear number plate light, then get 2 ring connectors to go over your terminals on your battery. This way you are not messing about cutting in to essential wiring. If you f...k up your number plate light its not the end of the world. Plus your handguards are getting their power direct from the battery.

If you go down the relay route I can advise how I've wired mine.

Thanks - This was a great help. Also come across a pretty neat diagram online which I thought I would share:

Took a little while to wire it all up properly but works an absolute treat. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
