Chain comes loose(ish)

I have an NSR 125 and the chain comes loose after riding, not stupidly loose but looser than it should be (I tighten to 94nm instead of 90). I would like to know if the nuts on the end play a role in holding the wheel in place or not?

The adjuster nuts and lock nuts at the end of the swing arm absolutely play a part in holding the chain tension.

Have you just been tightening the hub spindle?

I would bet your wheel alignment is out then. Have you not got a manual or even just do a google search on how to adjust your chain tension.

fairly evenly isn't good enough.

Do it properly and make sure everything is done up as it should.

Check your primary drive sprocket and that it's tight and the nut is locked.

What condition is the swing arm bearing? if it rocks left to right there is your chain issue. lift bike up and remove the rear suspension and see if it plays.

wheel alignment?

Worn bearings getting warm when riding resulting in play.
