6 points, can I ride?

so I have my mod 1 & mod 2 this month, and something has just come to mind.

I have 6 points on my car licence for something that happen 18 months ago, is it still ok ( once I pass my bike test) to ride?

I know it's 6 points within the first 2 years of getting a licence you see so not sure how it will work with already having them

its 6 points from getting your first entitlement (your car entitlement).

If you're still in the 2 year period, 1 point more and you're losing it. (EDIT: if you've reached 6 points and still have your car entitlement then I guess you're out of the 2 year period so no worries).

If you've had your car entitlement for 2 years then you're fine until you reach 12 points.

You only have 1 driving licence, but different entitlements. Passing the bike test doesn't give you another licence.

I asked my instructor and he said it meant if you get 3 more then your banned??

Instructors rarely give the right answer on that question for whatever reason.

You've got 6 points left before you're banned and you're unable to get your licence revoked under New Drivers Act

Then you'll be fine.
