I was diagnosed with ME. Then CFS.

Turns out it's sleep apnoea.

I've been chronically tired for years. Needing a lot of sleep generally, it was found the cause was having a sensative bladder and thus waking for a wee multiple times in the night. With drugs and some effort from me to ignore urges it's greatly reduced and thus im slightly less tired than I used to be.

I'm sure with most of us there it is a fairly rectify-able if you can identify the cause/causes.

Stress/diet/sleep pattern/fitness/mattress?

I blame work but I accept its my fault I'm in a shitty line of work.

Their is so many conditions out their now that most people can relate to. From week to week the general human can fell different. ADHD, Bipolar, Depression, ME, Schizophrenia all bolox. Every human brain is different, we all think and are programmed different, that simple. Well no its not all bolox, but its dam close to all bolox

Actually people do suffer conditions in countries like that but the numbers are obscured because of the general high level of shittyness. A study once found high levels of anorexia amongst eathiopian women but of course it was hidden amongst the circumstances of overall malnutrition due to famine. I get your point though.

It exists. I had it, ME, CFS, Post viral syndrome, call it what you want. Started in 1993 after I had shingles. They gave me anti virals to stop it getting in my optic nerve, thereafter I had the worst 12 years of my life, to a point where I actually considered topping myself.
I won't go into all the shit that happens, suffice to say it destroyed a good career when I had to stop work for a year.
Gradually from 2000 it improved slowly, I don't know why or how because I'd given up on doctors by then, telling me there was nothing wrong.
Now I'm generally ok, very occasionally get some of the dietary symptoms.
Most people seem to get it after viral infections. For what its worth I think the bodies immune system continues fighting it all the time. I knew I was getting better when I caught a cold, never had one for 10 years despite the missus having several and a couple of bouts of flu.
All I can say to the naysayers is I hope you don't have the misfortune to get it, its a living nightmare with little or no help, people thinking you are a lazy piss taking twat, no forseeable end to it.
To anyone who is currently suffering from it, there is hope. I got better eventually, so will you.

Actually I do think I was being a bit uncharitable, but everytime something like this pops up my FBook page is flooded with all the self diagnosers bleating on and on. I shouldn't let it get to me. The reason it does was I have a condition called Hydradenitis. It struck in my late teens and ended up disabling me for over a decade. I couldn't work couldent walk sometimes had endless operations and nearly died from an infection in my bloodstream. So I've done my time in that particular hell. So when the wheat free, lactose intolerant, no carbs, no protien, no fucking nutrition brigade have a dose of the squits decide they have an ilness it pisses me off.

Your definition of luxury seems a bit unusual Thinking and actually yes; they do.

Not having adequate health services to diagnose and treat problems like ME and depression doesn't mean people aren't suffering from them Rolling Eyes

The drugs are expensive! They relax your bladder, which, if you think of it like a balloon, is stiff on the first puff, then easier to fill. Hence why every time it got to the first bit, I woke, for a wee.

The pills help relax it so you are less likely to notice the initial use. But, it still came with a fair amount of 'roll over' and ignore it, go back to sleep effort. Which amongst other 'mental' override efforts, I'm a better sleeper than I used to be.


The drugs:
Anticholinergic drugs prescribed for OAB include oxybutynin, toldterodine, trospium, darifenacin, solifenacin, and fesoterodine. All are sold under different brand names, and some are available as generics.

cant remember which I had, was a few years Back.

I'm still struggling to see how often being virtually incapacitated is 'indulging a luxury' Thinking. What would you consider 'real reasons'? Depression can be caused be a huge number of mental and physical things, including abnormal hormone levels. If you have a problem with your hormonal glands, how does that make being affected by depression any different to an abnormal heart causing someone to not function properly?
