Symptoms:
starts well revs ok, then loses power and I have to keep the revs up to keep it going. if it stalls its hard to start. when riden it loses all power and is very slow...

Thoughts?

Have you 'upgraded' it from stock?

Year, mileage, service history (claimed and verified), what you've checked already?

Last time it had the oil, filters and plug changed?
