Well I have the M10 but anyway.
The picture is pretty good for the price of the camera but there is a problem when recording at night.
Looking at other videos on youtube etc, the videos look pretty clear, yet when I view mine, it's just full of noise.
Does anyone else have this problem or had and a way to fix.
I'll upload a video when I get a video at night if I remember not to delete them all first.

Check you have an actual SJcam not a knock off. There will be a scratch off code somewhere on the box that can be checked online. Also the box and manual should be branded "sjcam" the knock offs normally aren't.

Are you getting wind noise? Cover the mic with some foam or hide it from the wind.

As for mounting, helmet would be the best place as it can see what you can.

Helmet is best. The curved mount with the sticky pad is good for triple figure speeds.

If lid is a no no, then it may vary with bike. On mine the mirror stalk provides a fairly good place with minimum vibes. I've seen quite a few people on nakeds putting their cams on the brake reservoir so that may be worth a try.

You may want to try playing with the exposure, HDR and lighting settings for night time.

I have the mic turned off.

Short rides, mounting on helmet will be ok, but for longer I need to add a power supply.
Adding some rubber between the camera and mount has helped with some of the vibrations. Going to add washer or plate and another piece of rubber to see if it improves.

Extra batteries are dirt cheap if you don't mind waiting for them to arrive from China.

I have the above + the original gives me around 4 1/2 hours total
