My dad's 2003 BMW R1100s was stolen last night it's the boxer cup version so reasonably distinctive. I'll pop some pictures up when I get a chance.

Registration is LD 03 EOR, It has Wilbur shocks front and back and a reasonably rare staintune exhaust system. It's on around 50,000 miles and has the usual marks for a bike of that mileage used for commuting.

My dad has reason to believe it was stolen by two guys on another bike rather than put in the back of a van.

I've not seen another blue and white boxer cup version in London so really it is a distinctive bike. If you see anything please drop me a PM or reply here.

Thanks

Edit: Stolen from Teddington.

Thieving bastards. I really like those Boxer Cup replicas. Was it in a garage or stolen from the street.
I really hope you get it back but I bet it'll be broken up for parts.

This is the best picture I have of it:

https://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee81/paddy2007dug/WP_000735_zps4061acaf.jpg

It was stolen without the luggage, it does have that tall screen fitted still though and a pillion seat cover.

It wasn't garaged, stolen from the street. Seems an odd bike to pinch to be honest but I guess you're right on the spares front, it's hardly a stolen to rag around bike, and not high value enough to be stolen to order.

Chances are that if it's not in a van then there's a lot more hope of him getting it back.

Not anywhere near London (Up norf) but hope he gets it back.

Thumbs Up

Also, no arms and ants in undies and all that.

Feller on the Londonbikers forum had WR450 pinched last night in Teddington - obviously some scrotes doing the rounds there.

Interesting, wonder if it was the same lot? It's generally such a nice area I guess people get a bit lax with security and somebody has copped on. No doubt the police will fail to connect the dots.

No sign of my dad's yet anyway Thumbs Down

Sorry to hear about the bike, mine was nicked on Thursday. Fuckers!

Don't want to put you on a downer, but be prepared for the recovery and storage fee the police will wack you with.

Qualified good news!

Insurers should cover it if you claim, but then they'll dry bum you for 5 years. You'll still be down the excess anyway.

The person who they can bill is the thief, not the owner. This is crystal clear from the legislation. You won't get it back without paying, but feel free to pay under protest then invoice then and eventually off to small claims.

Do they check for prints on bikes?
My car was absolutely covered in finger print dust all over and looked a right state.
But it had been rallied and drove like crap so I got it wrote off and didn't have to scrub it clean
Its annoying that some chav stole it but I was fuming more about the police carting it off and making it look worse, when I could just have gone out and recovered it myself.

Bike back and remembered BCF password in one single day Exclamation

They fingerprinted my CBR600 when it was stolen a few years back, it was the blood on the exhaust that secured the conviction though.
