As my friend Adrian has just said to me, "They're 'avin a turkish ain't they!"
I concur, they are indeed having a laugh at whoever is stupid enough to bid that sort of money for a flashy paint scheme. Still as my old granny used to say, there's one born every minute.

Definately a nice helmet, but they get tarnished too quickly. Scraps, scratches and so on. It won't look that good at all in six months time.

Think that's what you'd need to do. If only I were a playboy millionaire . . . ok I'll settle for the millionaire bit.

I've always been fairly tarty when it comes to lids but I think I'll give that one a miss, for the time being anyway. Rolling Eyes

The first time a had a bike lesson the instructor looked at my brand spanking new Arai and said "what the hell you wearing that for? I'd put that on the bloody mantle piece". It was a Kevin Schwantz rep Quantum, it was an expensive lid but I was living at home with the parents and had money to burn. Oh those were the days! Laughing

I thought the senna tribute bike was made by MV Augusta?
As to why the lid's so expensive, three words:
"Arai" "Limited" and "Edition",
there ARE people out there that will want to buy it *Because* (not despite) of it's ridiculous price.

Alright, who's this Adrian? Doesn't he know it's rude to eavesdrop? Tell him to get his own bloody account! Wink

Edit - Ducati made a Senna too, in fact I think they did it a way before MV. Some of the money was donated to Brazilian orphans or something like that.

Anyone remember that lad who won something like £17m on the lottery?

He was into bikes and went out and bought a Ducati Senna after the win, think he hangs around with Foggy and a few other racers now. Mr. Green

If he is the one I am thinking of, then prior to the lottery win he would just have gone out an nicked the bike.

All the best
