It's not unusual for people in serious accidents involving being knocked unconscious to have no recollection of the event.

I don't think you understand. She/he/shemale said that was looking behind, at scenery, at GPS, or/and fell asleep before the impact. That's what is odd, not the unconsciousness.

Obviously they're secondary to making sure you don't crash but apart from falling asleep aren't they fairly normal things to do on a group tour?

Not all of the at the same time. I'm sure he was just theorising what may have happened, he could have been paying full attention but blacked out for no reason, he has no way of knowing.

Not odd. They don't know how it happened, so are suggesting possible reasons why it did.

All those reasons are the riders fault. I guess at least they're not bullshitting and saying some other reason like a tyre blowout or something.
