So my Moto G is perfect with Kitkat battery lasts more than 12 hours. Unfortunately, it seems to think it wants Lollipop. I returned my last phone due to Lollipop 'upgrade', so I'm determined to stay on Kitkat.

Problem is, at least 5 times a day I get notified there's an update available for the phone. How can I prevent this? There used to be an option to automatically disable the update check.

Not rooted Moto G 2nd gen.

From a quick google it would seem rooting and freezing/ deleting "MotorolaOTA 1.0" package name com.motorola.ccc.ota might do the trick, The APK is located at /system/priv-app/3c_ota.apk apparently.

Thanks! I'll try disabling it and see if that does the trick.
