Up for sale my baby, I'm not desperate to sell so don't insult me with stupid offers, I don't want to PX, cash is king However, if you want a tidy honest bike that will take you wherever you want to go with effortless performance then read on.

Now the bad bits first, it was registered Cat C when I bought it and I spent considerable time, money and effort to completely strip every nut and bolt and rebuild it with all the correct parts. Since the rebuild I have covered 14 thousand trouble free miles and I would certainly not let this put you off. I'm not a kid with an Argos tool kit, I've spent years around cars and bikes of all types so I know how to do things properly. It is as good if not better than many bikes that will have been nursed along through the years, which have never had their swing arm or headstock bearings greased, for example!

I had to change the speedo unit in 2010 as the rev counter packed in, it took me ages to find a good one for decent money but I did manage to find the correct 220mph one in the end! So as it stands, the mileage reads just under 16,000. The actual mileage is around double this working back through the old MOT's, which equates to just over 2200 miles per year. Not exactly what you'd call high for one of these as they are so unstressed when you think they'll break the speed limit in first gear!! Riding around in top all day it literally is ticking over!

The GL Pro gear indicator shown in the photo's is disconnected, it became intermittent so was more of an annoyance than an aid! I can take it off for the new owner if they want, it's only lifting the tank and removing a few cable ties, all of ten minutes work.

Now for the good stuff

I'm only the second owner and it must be one of the last 2000 spec's sold and hence is unlimited. Don't listen to people who quote "full power". They're all full power! But 2001 onwards were limited to 186 MPH as standard.

All panels and tank were completely resprayed in 2008 with 2 pack topcoat using a combo of gloss black and a subtle 'Mica' Harley orange base coat, which looks great in the sunlight and has the the "Falcon" style paint design on the fairings.

Runs and rides spot on and is utterly reliable, will happily cruise from one side of the country to the other without missing a beat. I would trust it to go anywhere.

Recent tyres, wheels powder coated last year and new bearings fitted. Various subtle upgrades like stainless engine and fairing bolts, braided front hoses, APE Clutch Slave support, Scottoiler, uprated front headlight bulbs, wrapped headers to keep under fairing temperatures down, silicone hoses, K&N filter element, iridium plugs, chrome hayabusa tank front clamp, good quality glass fibre mat battery, double bubble Fabri screen and I have the original too.

I've always changed oil and filters every year (Silkolene Comp4) regardless of mileage. Front forks had a strip and fresh fluid last year, while the wheels were away. Valve clearances and cam chain checked about 3000miles ago. Front calipers stripped and rebuilt with new genuine suzuki pistons and seals 2 years ago so work perfectly.

MOT until the backend of April next year, obviously no TAX when it's sold due to new rules but it's still taxed till the end of May.

Comes with both the speed hump (modified to leave grab rail on all the time) and a rear seat for when the wife wants to come along.

I have a pair of non branded race cans to chuck in, which aren't particularly pretty but they sound fantastic. Comes with standard cans fitted so it's all legal and you can hear the engine is sweet

Overall it's a fantastic bike and it's ready go. I've certainly enjoyed owning it and it's the longest I've ever kept a bike so it is a testament to what a brilliant machine these are.

I'm after a straightforward sale @ £2750 ovno. No test pilots or dreamers. If you want to test ride it, I'll need the full amount in cash in my hand. You break it or drop it then you take it home and I keep the cash, it's that simple Alternatively I'll take you out on the back for a couple of miles.
