Just coming to the end of my first year on a big bike and am starting to realise what I want out of a bike doesn't fit my current ride.

My current bike is an early 80's Honda CB750 DOHC straight four with skinny wheels, lots of torque and lots of weight.

Now I think I want something more agile and nimble. Not necessarily sporty but a step up from my meaty straight four.

My budget is £2k.

I love cafe racer styling but I also like simple faired bikes. Monoshocks and single sided swingarms give me wet dreams. There's something about blank white track fairings that I like too, again the simplicity.

Put on your thinking caps chaps, because I'm stuck!

You'd get a cracking bug eye mk2 Speed triple in shocking pink or wild acid green for £2k or less. 955cc three pot characterful roar, and it has nice naked looks, a single side arm, and lots of stuff you can polish up shiny!

Job done next question I'd say!

Having done more research I'm definitely not a fan of the twin headlights...

Otherwise the looks are OK, I wonder how difficult it is to stick a smaller tail on it.

Any other suggestions, I just seem to be coming up with stripped faired bikes which s a bit of a waste...

I think I would prefer a twin of some sort.
