My mate has some how managed to wipe the map off the SD card in his zumo 400. Anyone know how to get a free UK map back on, as the card is completely wiped clean!

your only hope is a peer to per download .. illegal of course..
the problem wit garmine is the maps are coded for one device only..

did your friend not get a map source DVD in wit the sat nav ?

I'd contact Garmin - Explain the situation and see if they will help you out - I think they'd be happy to help, especially if your friend can show proof of purchase to show it's his.

He bought it 2nd hand from ebay!

He was trying to update the map but cocked something up. Ill look into all the suggestions thats been said! many thanks all! Thumbs Up

the only way to update the sat - nav is with base camp installed on a computer .. part of this process is to make space on sd. card usin map install...
