Got chance to leave talktalk after being continually screwed past six months..
I'm currently on fibre 70mbps
Unlimited
And only stream and sometimes download not massively maybe a few gig a week download...

She have a very good deal atm for standard adsl max
Line speed would be 14 mbps
Would this be capable of streaming TV shows to two boxes at once, possibly three???

Its either going to be sse or plusnet.
I desperately need a British help desk

Virgin does seem to be decent. I say this despite having problems at the moment, but the customer service has been fine, from phone support (during UK hours anyway) to the van monkeys.

If truly 14Mbps then yes.

However, if its 'upto' you could end uo with 3 or 4 and the answer would then be no.

Stick with fibre. Plunet do dome good packages?
38Gb, evening and weekend call £30ish?

In my previous place I had the top Virgin fibre package and speedtest.net tended to peak at 80mb/s DL. I thought I needed it until I moved and couldn't get fibre.

I've had Sky 17mb broadband for 10 months with an average speedtest DL of close to 10mb/s. I game avidly and download lots. It's been fine.

We always tend to think bigger is better but it's really not - from a value for money perspective it's a different story.

£26.52 for BT Infinity 2, 76Mb with no bandwidth limits. Mr. Green

Fuck going back to ADSL after having fibre!

I've been on plusnet unlimited ADSL for a while.

It's cheap and doesn't throttle stuff, that is all the good I can say.

They are

Erratic about billing dates.
Don't respond to many online tickets you raise, when they do respond it's a copy paste and case closed.
Speed is unreliable, never stupidly slow but upload speeds yoyo a lot. They will deny this and imply to you that you are mental.
UK call centre actually normally routes you to one in South Africa.
They sell your details to every advertiser on the planet. I know it was them as only they had the details in question.

All the above is forgiven due to cheapness.

I would suck a dick for a chance of 14mbps, let alone 70.

My connection is a mere 2mbit. Netflix takes around 150kb/s, so to stream to two boxes you'd only need about a 3-4mbps connection. Gaming is more, I can play strategy games online but not fps or racing.

Also found plusnet good for ADSL (no fibre here anyway)
Previously with virgin speeds were usually bad mid-evening but it's very rare plusnet drops at all.
They also don't block e.g torrent sites (even though easily circumvented I like the attitude)
Oh yes and just about cheapest Cool
