V-Clic won't start

Hi,

I'm have a 12 plate V-Clic 50cc and it won't start.

It's been off the road over winter and when it was put back on the road there was a fuel leak - which was due to a split fuel line. This has been fixed and a new battery connected (in case this was the problem).

Now it won't start.
The key is in the ignition but there is no sign of life on the dials - however the indicators and full beam headlight works - which would indicate some power at least. Neither the horn nor the side lights work.

I've also checked the ignition switch by the side stand and this seems fine.

I've also tried using the kick start, but this wouldn't start the bike either, although it sounds like it's trying to catch and I can see fuel in the filter, so I know that the fuel line was has been sorted now.

Any ideas please, as I'm trying not to look like a pathetic girly?
