alright lads.

Made a stupid mistake today! Put 2 stroke oil in my honda (dylan is 4 stroke) dylan was half asleep when i bought it just saw motorcycle oil and grabbed it (idiot) rode for about 5 mins home before realising

2 questions lol

1) have i mullered my hair dryer
2) is it ok to ride or should i drain it completely before even switching on

grwatly appreciate any help!

Personally I'd drain it and fill right up with the correct long-chain hydrocarbons. It'll probably run like a pig for a while but there shouldn't be any damage.

Four stroke oil or two stroke oil, none should be used an engine lubricant on it's own. Thumbs Up

5 minutes should be alright, when you use the flush oil, you let it run a few minutes as well. As Andy says, drain it, put 4 stroke 10w40 (or what the manual says) in there, and never talk about this incident ever again. Smile
