Hi, I'm having trouble with the linkage (dogbones) on my Kmx when I'm riding along I some times hear a knocking sound coming from the swing arm, eg when I'm going over potholes or speed bumps. Can these be repaired with new bearings or what have you? I've never really messed about with these parts to be honest. Also where could I get the parts from or do I need to get hold of a 2nd hand linkage. It seems to be knocking at the part where it bolts to to frame. Any help would be great thank you

Have you still not got a manual for your KMX. a £10-15 Haynes will tell you nearly everything except prices and how to deal with seized fasteners, bearings and knackered castings etc.

Yes of course all the linkage bearings on the KMX125 and 200's can be replaced with new bearings and seals. They are not cheap though, and it will be over £100 in parts for bearings, seals and bushes for the rocker arm and linkages too.

I'd price the bits up first and look at one of the exploded parts diagrams on the Kawasaki official spares websites to see all the bits you will need and get the prices.

As for the knocking well if it's the definitely the linkage and not loose shock mounts or bolts etc, it could be the rocker arm bushes have desintergrated . You need to strip and fix it before it ruins your frame or swing arm, and it's not practical to just replace one set of bushes while your in there.
