Nob heads broke my exhaust mount! (VanVan)

If you can't tell they've broken the frame.
Found it in the woods with the exhaust missing, any idea how to attach the hanger on a new one? Was thinking of drilling some holes in a steel ruler to line it up and attach it to a bolt on the luggage rack.

Can't find where to buy a low exhaust but have seen pictures of people with them.

Agreed, corrosion/stress fracture. There's well-established rust right along the break so it could have snapped at any time.

Well yeah, because it was left out in the rain for a day or two after being stolen.
They stole the silencer and link pipe I assume by standing on it or something, was solid before, albeit rusty.

Cut the ignition too, but I'm a pro at fixing them by now...

But I'm not asking how it happened! What can I do about it!

Sportsbike tyre wrap around thing around the can and use the big bolt to hold it in place? Might not take the pressure if it's not hanging straight down though..

There is a mounting point for the link pipe still so there's no stress on the downpipe at least.
Need to find something good to adapt the hanger to reach though for the end can.

My brother snapped the footpeg/spring holder part off a zx10r sidestand. He paid a monkey at a random car garage a tenner to weld it back on.

The guy did it on the floor without a welding mask, had a ball of scabby weld the size of an acorn and it was at the wrong angle by about 60 degrees. It looked so shit my ribs hurt from laughing too hard.

So yeah... find a proper welder.
