replacing 98 r1 exhaust

hi guys

looking to fit a full system on my r1 once my ebay trawling pays off and was wondering how much of a ballache its going to be.

end can will be fine and i take it im probably going to have to move the radiator but will i have to remove it completely or just manage to wedge it out the way.

also what about the exup valve... will that cause problems with an aftermarket system?

since ill be doing this on the street i dont want to be caught out in the rain .

oh and is a torque wrench advised?

can only speek in relation to the 5VY..
but straight forward enough..
the radiator hinges from the top this gives some clearance with care..
A Torque wrench is a necessity..

the effects of removing the ex-up valve will depend on the system fitted .. the valve gives back pressure in the lower rev. range so you may or may not loose some bottom end ... you got to ride it fitted to find out ... reviews will be helpful but remember some of these are done by racers so their requirements and expectations may be different to yours.

I`m right in thinkin that this is a carburettor fitted machine .. if so will likely need re-jettin .. dependin on the system fitted..




if its injected it may need a power commander fitted or an ECU flash done wit a dyno run... dependin on the system fitted..

It is carbureted I was planning a dynojet kit along with it since its a full system
