Well my little CG has nearly reached 8 years old with 23350 miles on it used all year round and after an early spring clean I think it still looks great. Very Happy

Settle down, at least he's taken the training wheels off.

I wonder how many CBF125s will polish up that well at 8 years old. Thinking

Looks good. Out of interest how often is it ridden in the rain?

I miss my CG and I haven't even sold it yet, I found it quite grippy on the road though, not sure about squirming about? Eh?

Well don't sell this unless space dictates when you go for next bigger bike! It'll cost pennies to add CG to insurance on big bike with a decent insurer, and you'll never get another more useful, simple and tidy 125cc 2nd bike for what you'd sell her for!

And you'll be in the 2bike+ club which should be mandatory! Wink

That's mental, I've never known anyone have a CBT for more than 3 months.

I also learned and had a CG, mine didn't have a fuel gauge, it was slow, but it was very very very good on fuel.

The bike serves a purpose, its for work, saves me £80 a month in fuel alone, £16 tax, £50 insurance a year, even with test passed i would still be on it for commuting so the £100 every two years for CBT is nothing really Smile

I've paid for the CBT 4 times now, technically 2 of those times were because I had a hernia and had to keep coming back to finish as I kept puking. Laughing
I was on a 125 around 4 years though. Embarassed

I can understand having a 125, if you are not in to biking and you use the bike as say for a commute.

But when I had mine, I just practised on it for a couple of months, put myself in for the test and got a full license (all be it 33bhp for 2 years).

Sold the CG for about £50 more than I paid for it added about £400 and got an ER5.

The cost of the test was less than the cbt and having passed the test I could ride bikes which could keep up and over take traffic and they were enjoyable.

Each to their own.

I would love a bigger bike, I enjoy riding it very much but every time I have some money spare a friggin bill comes in or something else needs paying. I look in envy on the weekends when I see all the big bikes meeting up for a ride. But I'm determined to do it this spring.

Strong armchair on dat dere CG.
Pass your tests then keep the CG if you want. At least you will be safe in the knowledge that you can upgrade to a Blandit or something if you wanted
