I got £900 for my 05 plate with similar mileage last year. Yours looks a bit tidier.

150 miles a week just to and from work, so around 7200 a year commuting then any other riding I do. I try to look after what I have, going to look at an er5 I think.

If you can buy the kwak without losing the Honda, you'll appreciate it even more. I haven't met anyone that's sold a cg125 and not suffered remorse later on down the line. Insurance will not really be an issue, as multi bike policies are cheap enough, tax is peanuts for keeping one, and you'll never buy a bike that takes all of 50p to maintain and replace any part on it. Ok a slight exaggeration, but you have been warned sir. The sellers remorse curse is upon you.

Why not go for a 600 rather than a 5. Much more choice and the ER6, if you want one, will keep you happier than the smaller bike.

Why, unless you are using it as a commuter, it will sit at the back of the shed/garage, gathering dust as you take out the bigger bike for jolly's.

Hi
ER5 was a bit rough for the price, only worth about half of what he wanted, was in Honda and they had a mint cbr 600 on a 54 plate 15k, scott oiler and heated grips, looked almost new for £3000, but it was too much. Im not rushing in to it, Im sure something will turn up Shocked .

Can't recall the last time I saw an ER5 for sale that wasn't a bit rough.

Got advert?

I can't, just can't see me letting go of my CG, it sits under cover, battery topped up regularly, and happens to be in great condition, 2007 year and 5500 miles on the clock.

Feck, I even let it have fully synth oil, only a litre at a time mind.

CG goes out two or three times a year max, I have a motor cycle carrier tow hitch and I keep thinking I'm gonna make use of it for an extended car excursion\trip.

Way I see it is that it is only worth pushbike money, costs me nowt but tax and a little extra insurance on my other bike policy.

CG stays, cause I know I would regret selling it.

Out of interest, if you liked the CG125, how come you're going for an ER5 and not a CB500? Smile

Re: price, I think that's very fair. I sold my 1998 shed of a CG125 for £600 and it was cosmetically fucked, good runner though.

CB500 seem to cost silly money, ideally I would keep the cg for shit weather and winter commuting and have that minty CBR600 for dry days and summer but funds wont allow this so its something that will do both. The ZZR600 01 is still available 20k on it but needs shims doing and new rear tyre and downpipes, I spoke to the last owner who said he would have kept it but the bike shop wanted £1100 for all the work so he traded it in, he said he has had it in triple figures and owned it for a few years, no problems with the 2nd gear, this I can get for £800, it was stood for about 8 months but started straight away once battery was charged, I could keep the CG while doing the jobs on this, only a few chips on forks and dizzy cover on the left? and a slightly rusty shock spring but has a hugger on it.
I thought about this as snoosnoo has shown a guide for the shims.
I quite like this bike and its no great loss if i bin it.
