It will be plated I guess?
You're only sitting but it would be bad all round if you needed to take the weight of the bike on that leg even just some minor incident like parking.
I'd give it another month.

I broke my wrist once while on holiday in Edinburgh, it was a pain riding the rest of the week through the traffic, traffic lights every 10m stop start all the time, then had the 180 mile ride home, that was easier.

Broke 3 ribs and had some minor internal bleeding, after going over the bars down a steep banking and having the bike land on me at least twice on the way down, that was on the first lap of a trial, i finished the rest of the trial then popped into A&E on the way home.

I broke my tibula once, had to walk home as the clutch lever had snapped clean off, luckily i was arrested for armed robbery on the walk home and the nice policemen gave me a lift home. I was in a full leg plaster for 13 weeks, i was back on the bike about 3 weeks after the cast came off.

My fibula is currently broken, along with many other bones, it was going nicely until last night, 4 weeks after I initially broke it, I re-broke it when I accidentally smashed it off the corner of the sofa while my leg was twisted.

Wait a bit longer. Thumbs Up

I waited a month

the tibia is the more important bone

I was told I could walk on it straight away as I had a rod holding the main bone together

mind you its taken 8 months to heal up

This is the post where a million and one 'man up for man points' recommendations come in.... Laughing

Christ I jumped back on the saddle pretty much straight after a vasectomy, but broken bones? Nah, they need to set properly and vibration and jarring is the absolute antithesis to 'bone healing'.

Feet up, cock out, rock out Thumbs Up

Tibia takes all the wieght, fibula is balance/ankle only? Suprised how little it hurt. If I broke it worse then they would have plated it, I would have been able to walk and ride bike. And carry my own cups of tea.

I want to go running, had a group we went every week (and how I broke it). And gym. That was 3 or 4 of my evenings every week. So I want it fully healed asap.

A&E doc said walk on it, I was. Consultant doc said no, and xray showed movement Sad I guess it put healing back a week. I go back for another 14th June.

Bored of being trapped at home with only the internets.

I've ignored healing times for broken bones before. I now ache in winter. Follow the medical advice.

I know how you feel, I'm nursing a broken fibula, a broken pelvis, four ribs, my ring finger, my left heel, my right ankle and the bone in my right foot that goes to the little toe. I'm walking around with a limp, but all in all it's not too bad. But like I say, I re-broke my fibula the other night, I didn't even catch the sofa that bad, but because my leg was twisted slightly, it went without too much effort, which of course has but the healing back further.

I had nothing put in cast either, and the doctors said to try to carry on as normal but bear them in mind, obviously with a few weeks off work. I'm just sitting in the garden in the sunlight, eating carrots and drinking milk, to help them heal. Laughing

Just to prove Robby's point, I've had numerous broken bones and suffer no aches in winter.
Even so, I did have problems carrying on running 12 miles + after a couple of broken ankles and a broken foot so don't know if it will affect your personal training.

Just take it easy. Rolling Eyes

Rolled my Micra like a hero! Very Happy I punctured my left lung, lacerated my liver, cracked my skull open lost 3-4 pints of blood from an arterial wound on my left temple and had plastic surgery to glue my face back together, I can't move the left side of my face anymore and my left eye doesn't close all the way. My thighs also banged off each other and squashed my mebs, which have now stopped being the size of oranges and the colour of a red onion but I'm keeping an eye on them. I then got a bladder infection off the catheter while I was in hospital.

But, on the plus side, my mum bought me a bicycle repair stand just before I crashed, so I've spent all day playing with my Specialized P1, because I have wrote off the rest of my fleet systematically and don't really have the strength to try to work on the motorbikes all that much and I need a way to work that isn't public transport. Laughing

Before I was allowed to fully weight-bare on it.
Surgeon said it was ok, but I suspect a lot of others wouldn't have.

I made some crutch holders for the bike and it helped a fair bit compared to the car as I could cheekily park it in places you couldn't a car - ie right outside shops, including in pedestrianised sections etc.

Its more a question of riding with cast or cutting it off for boot. Plan is next week I will start riding - he did say partial weight bearing after 2 weeks.. weight is not an issue, no pain..

Normal gear changes should be ok, broken I had to use inside of heel.

Then fresh cast.. they used two rolls at hospital..looks like same stuff.

I think if cast was cut down the sides and bandaged up, it will do the job and be removable.. bit like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lN5DShWZss

I had metal work rather than cast and was on right hand side - so minimal movement needed - less than I was doing crutching around if I actually wanted to use the rear brake.

I'd be cautious with the left foot and removing casts.
Some things ARE worth waiting for.

OP, just do as you like, you've had enough more experienced people telling you to take the advice of your doctor, but what do they know Rolling Eyes

I bought a push bike to ride after I was using one in physio
was only after I found the fibula being broke the physio told me it was a bad idea as it moves the bones when riding so was stopping them joining

Yea; cycling seems to be a poor choice.
Scooter or automatic car, I'd say - or electric push bike, possibly.
