If any of you have black V&H pipes, how is the black coating holding up? I'm thinking of getting the black short shots but the local mechanic said he has a customer that's got them, his black coating is just flaking off revealing chrome. He's had them swapped for new covers and those did the same.

Is this a 1 off or am I best just getting the chrome?
