More telling please, otherwise it'll get moved to general bike pictures.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Agree with Marjay. A bit of a pointless post in show&tell if there are no further details forthcoming? And if the OP has shown them before with no information, then what does he want from here except a bit of look at me and my shiny X7's?

What I would like to know is did he restore both bikes from runner's? Non runner's? Wreaks? If so how many bikes did he start with? Did he have donor bikes or parts stashed away before the re-builds? How much NOS stuff was used, and how much of the work did he do himself/where did he go for all the specialist work and services and who would he recommend for work/parts and advice?

But more than all that what I would like to know, is why the hell would you want to end up with two standard or original bikes?

For me having 2x the same model I would think gives you the chance to do one nice accurate and OEM style restoration, and then allows you to go nuts with the other one and build a special, tuned machine, or just a good runner without being to fussy over cosmetics, compared to the show/sunny day bike.

To have a red one and a white one! Wink
Different occasions, different outfits etc Laughing

They do look stunning but agree, would be nice to have some story to them - be it restoration or kept mint from new or whatever Neutral

They are nice, however at least one of them should have spannies, K&N's, clip-ons, rear sets, adjustable rear shocks, single seat unit, Hi Vis wheels, lots of stickers and a towelling sweat band on the master cylinder, for the authentic 80's look. Anyone with a standard X7 just wasn't trying hard enough!

Or cutting the cylinder head in half so its two separate heads (easier to get the squish exactly right on both sides, quickens changing piston or rings between races etc). Ah, when I were a lad.....
