I used a jack to lift a gsxr600 lump back into the frame.

On its side on an old mattress and slowly drip the bike round it. Wiggle a couple of mounts in and lift. I managed a GPX600 by lifting the engine on a milk crate and sitting on the bike next to the crate shuffle it over and into place. You will lose skin on the knuckles mind.

Not something I have done, but I would probably strip both ends off and lower frame over engine, as it would be easier to get it lined up?

Then I would lift frame and reattach both ends.

No idea how much a zzr6 frame wieghs, but alu 250rr frame wieghs nothing, its not much smaller than a 600 frame.

Strip frame, slot over the top else:
slide/roll/lever onto a board balancing on a jack and jack it up into place (may require more than one person).

Done. 5 ponds?

When I was rebuilding the GPz I had everything off the frame so just dropped it over the engine, when I put the engine back in the zxr I tied a rope through the engine and engine mounts and pulled it up enough to get the jack under it
