I noticed yesturday that the MOT on the cbr250 expired on the 1st of august
I thought since this is very much BCF's bike I should keep you all informed.
Since buying the bike (august 31st 2003) and with a whooping 25000km on the clock at the time I have nearly doubled its mileage.
The clock now reads 46'000km and the bike has NEVER failed to start ever.
So that is a massive 21000km (13043 miles) in just over 11 months.
In that time I have used 5 rear tyres and 3 front tyres! That is approx £710 in rubber burnt.
The bike does 150km for £8 so.... thats £1120 in petrol. plus oil change every 3000km at £16 each.... is £112
So give or take a bit 21000km in 11 months has cost me a grand total of £1942.
(this isnt taking into account any track days, oil filters, air filters, crashes, fork seals, brake hoses, brake fluids, tax, insurance, services etc) |

For those that are new and don't know the story behind the cbr250 you can go https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=18912 to see a bit of it.
The bike was bought from boxhill motorcycles by wildgoose back in 2002 as his first real bike. Before goose owned it the bike was used by ride magazine to do a feature on it.... Ride rode my very bike to ireland and back
After a year, goose sold the cbr250 to me (he still regrets selling it ) This bike has been very much loved, it has taken me to 2 track days and all the way to south france and back in the 11 months I have owned it.
Thats enough history for you |

impressive give us a nudge, when youve had enough ____________________ So in other words, he stopped you for being flagrantly in posession of a motorcycle in direct contravention of the Hippies, Darkies and People Whose Face I Don't Like The Look of (Police Powers) Act. 1976 |
