I have just passed my tests for an a2 licence, my examiner said i need to get a form from the post office and send everything off to the dvla to get my licence changed, anyone know what form that is?

When I passed my test (2012), the examiner took my license and done it all for me.... maybe the procedure has changed since. Go in to the Post Office and ask? Maybe its juts a case of getting a license form (I believe the new license and chance of license forms are the same) and going from there?

When I passed my car and bike tests, I was asked by the examiners if I wanted to hand over my licence to get it updated, which I did.

Anyway, if you've missed that opportunity, you need the DL1 form, order it here if you're too lazy to go down to the post office:

Thanks, my examiner didnt give me the option to give him my licence, just told me to get the form and send it off

That would be a worrying development. You'll really, really want to hold on to your pass certificate - DVLA have form for just forgetting about entitlements.

hrmm that reminds me. I never received mine back when i got the licence back from DVLA. I was told to get post office form and send it off with postal order (i was changing photo too) and with my pass certificate to DVLA.

Called the dvla and they've confirmed their standard procedure is to destroy the certificate once the entitlement is added.

As above, my examiner got my licence updated. I didn't have to send anything.

I've still got my Pass Certificate.

I don't trust DVLA with anything. I "lose" my licence whenever it has to be updated.

i don't trust the dvla either. i think i had the sense to photocopy it as i was without a license for a few weeks so kept a copy under the seat of the bike.. i think

did anybody else find that their new license check system was down until this morning Laughing Laughing
