Is there any adjustment that can be made to stop the visor flipping up at anything above 60mph.

This is why visors with a fixing to lock it in place exist.

I realise that isn't helpful so:

Superglue?

I only wonder, what will the lid do, when you crash. I mean if 60 mph is enough for it to open. Thinking

Just the visor Vincent.

There is no separate visor lock fitted, helmet did come with a tube of superglue and a roll of duct tape, I thought they were just generous freebies at the time Smile .

I have a full face Nolan and the mechanism all looks the same as mine for the visor.

Sometimes when im riding i think the visor is shut however it needs a little bit more effort to click it into place to be fully shut.

Might be worth taking the visor off and putting back on again just to make sure its fitted properly and not slightly loose on one side.

If its definitely down contact Nolan and see if they have any suggestions.
Also what bike and screen do you have, could be that the wind is hitting it at just the wrong angle at 60.

All good points mate, this is a new problem, the visor stayed closed for the first 2 years after purchasing, pretty sure the visor is fully down every time since.

Contacted Nolan today, we will see what transpires: this helmet is also showing another major fault, we shall leave that for later as I have contacted Nolan about this as a separate concern.

Good point about the screen, so happens that I just fitted handlebar risers yesterday.

My position height will change slightly and I should note any consequent change to the visor malfunction.

Don't go over 60mph. Buy an Enfield.

Is there a way to adjust the tension on the visor mechanism, on my HJCs you undo the three mechanism retaining screws and push the retention mechanism back slighly. Is a fiddle to get right, but my fg15 was blowing open and not sealing well agaisnt rain until i adjusted it. My shark has a simple friction method that needs a tiny allen key, but it locks so tightly i cant open it in winter gloves,

Have you tried the trusty reverse flat cap and goggles?

I emailed Nolan for a fix if they have one, no reply yet, if no reply I will investigate\dismantle the assembly and see if what you describe is an available adjustment, cheers for the idea Thumbs Up
