Who makes the best ones? Have an CB1300 with 50,000+ miles on the clock and time for another seat. The old one was a little hard but for all those trips across France, it did its job.

So what seat would you recommend? What seats have worked for you and what manufacturers would you suggest?

I have a Tony Archer on my CB1300 and wouldn't be without it.

I had my seat cut and gel inserts added by Melvin Hunter (website: https://www.motorbike-seats.co.uk). He did a cracking job of recovering it too; I can't recommend his work enough.

Had one on my Pan when I got it, looked just like this:

Also another vote for getting your original seat fitted with a gel insert, I had my Gixer seats recovered and the riders one had a gel insert done by Viking. Reasonably priced and I can sit on the seat for a lot longer before I get numb bum.

You should look at some of the seats from https://www.danmedicasouth.co.uk/

They do a lot of work with medical pressure care but also do bike seats as well.

I had a Corbin on my 1500 Goldwing. Lovely seat and way better than Hondas standard but not cheap. Thankfully mine came with the bike.

My Explorer had a hard seat so I just put a sheepskin on it and it made a hell of a difference. Not too good when it's pissing down though.

Last Tuesday a few of us did the Lowestoft to Aberystwyth run. 311 miles 10 hours with a few stops and I arrived with a comfy bum and didn't walk like a chimp with diarrhea.
So yes it's comfortable Very Happy
