Posted: 13:28 - 06 Aug 2004 Post subject: Anybody had experience of insurance from Telebikes? |
 |
|
I'm currently looking at insurance quotes and I've called 'Telebikes' (advert in the back of RIDE). Thing is, their quote is loads lower than anyone elses. Fully comp on my Z750 for £544 with £250 excess (legal, pillion and third party on other bikes included)
I was fine with this until my mate told me that a few years back he got scammed by a fake company he got insurance from for his car (also from a magazine advert).
Anyone know/have used this insurance company and can offer some reassurance?
Many thanks! |

I'm currently with Motorcycle Direct but they seem happier to screw me with cancellation costs rather than keep my business, Bennetts no good either.
I've pretty much called every company in the book (doubt even Danny could beat this one! ). |

Used telebikes before, as has Zim. They're real enough. ____________________ 3516 Miles, 11 Countries |

I have used Telebikes, as has G in the past.
They exist, if they didn't then G would have to pay more than £10 per year for his ZX9 insurance! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Never took that out mark... a little car crash distracted me .
Yes, I have used telebikes many times because they are generally the cheapest for me.
Haveinsurance with them at the moment and have had a claim (against me) through them.
Would definitely reccomend .
It's definitely worth haggling. Find out the next cheapest company and ring up telebikes and say the other company quoted you £x less than them.
Repeat until they won't go any lower.
Doesn't matter if you have another company or not, but if you can get another cheap one, they might try to beat telebikes anyway.
For me MCE have also quoted me quite well as have quickquote. |

I'm soon again to be looking around for Insurance quotes. Hoping to purchase a 2003 R6 on 12th Sept when my license finally upgrades. Havent driven a bike since my crash in January 2003, very looking forward to getting back in to it and SELL MY CAR!! woot....
Telebikes, Motorcycle Direct seems to be what everyone reccomends to me |
