Little bit bummed, yet excited at the same time.

Only been riding for just over a week since passing my test, and been doing the do on my CRF250L.

Bought it with green lanes in mind but I'm still yet to get to one on it. I do enjoy the road ride enough to justify buying a road bike.

I know I'm a wee newbie in the biking world, but I didn't think the "I need a bigger bike" thought would cross my mind for at least a year... but yeah... really really really want a bigger bike.

Very Happy Sad Very Happy Sad Very Happy Sad <-- my mood right now

You only have 23 horses. You don't need a bigger bike, just more horses. My 250 has 45 horses, 600 has 100, the 250 is often more fun.

Your bike has less power and more weight than plenty of road (and some trail) 125s, so not surprised.

Funnily enough I did originally want the drz400 but there weren't many around in my price range and I wanted a bike immediately (yep, impatient barstool).

The CRF has been geared down to 13/43 so is nippy down low but just sucks at 60+, wobbly, screaming, loud knobbly tyres (I know I can change these).

Wish I waited it out a bit now, used to read thread after thread with people asking if a 600 is ok for a first bike, decided to start small from what people said but wish I went with the latter now.

Hopefully when I actually get out green laning I will change my mind, still does put a smile on my face whilst riding it.
