While sat here watching tv earlier a biker pulled up outside and dismounted and looked at his bike in a very pissed off way.

Being the helpful person that i am, i rushed outside and offered my assistance. I was unable to help him with the snapped clutch cable so i offered to store his bike in my back garden and give him a lift to where he was going. Covered it up with my spare Oxford cover and took him 10minutes up the road, telling him to come back to collect it whenever.

Its the best thing about being a biker, we stick together. Try getting help like that while driving a cage! (shower me with karma please Very Happy )

Definitely beyond the call of duty that is!

Very nice of you though! Cool

Hope you do not get a call from the police as he nicked that bike and now you are storing stolen goods! Wink

when i was at the local bike place picking up some 2t oil for the speedshite, there was a group of bikers there, one on a GSXR1000 who got a puncture and tried to ride home (over 40 miles) but after just 7 miles we found him when i was on the way home so i offered him my bike and i would stay with his so he could go and get some puncture stuff to put in his tyre and a pump

so i waited by the road side with his Gixxer whilst he went and sorted some puncture stuff out

i wasnt worried about getting not getting the bike back due too the fact he left me with a gixxer

he came back on it saying "i didnt realise a scooter could go 60"

then we helped him sort his wheel out and he was on his way!

My experiences are limited to pulling over to help a bloke sort his bike that wouldn't find second - we rode off together and he indicated that we'd sorted it - can't remember if i did anything apart from keep him company lol.

The second one, I soor a poor bloke on a TL1000R struggling to bump start it (he'd parked up and left his lights on Rolling Eyes ) So, I parekd the NSR up and helped push his TL down the pavement until he managed to get it going - A high-level race can either side of your head certainly gets your attention when it fires up - it sounded gorgeous Drooling .

Then there's the usual dozen or so times i've pulled over to ask a bike if he's ok, most of them ranged from "I'm just making a phone call", and "i'm just having a fag mate", to one dude who took his fairing access panel off to adjust his clutch at the side of the road Shocked .
