Hi all,

I'm new to this place, so I'm Adam and I'm hoping to book my CBT in September. First of all, I want to apologise if this has already been answered; I couldn't find it anywhere.
I've been looking into getting a motorcycle (125 of course), and I've pretty much got all the research down, except for one little bit - the tax. I mean, I know the discs are gone now, but where/how do you put tax on a used motorcycle?

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it! Very Happy

Thanks a lot! I'll have a look at that. I'm new to the whole owning a car/motorbike/etc thing, so I'm a tiny bit clueless at times!

And please be aware that as the new owner/keeper you have to pay VED using the new keeper slip: any that's on it will be automatically cancelled when DVLA receive the change of keeper.

I'm still seeing plenty of vehicles being sold with "6 months tax" or similar - apparently word hasn't got out yet.

Yes, another government money making scheme Evil or Very Mad

I can't see any way the nice people in power don't get two months tax for 1 month when both you and the seller have to pay for that month.

Why do you think ved should be any different.

After all, you pay tax on your income AND on the things that you buy with that income.
