Hi all

First time with a GoPro and I did a couple of test videos about 30 seconds.

I used the GoPro Studio and was able to view these fine.

I then thought I'd test it on the bike and did 2x hour video clips.

I can't seem to get them to work or import in any way to play.

I've tried QuickTime player too and no success.

The memory card I bought is legit and I'm using the GoPro cable that was supplied.

Any ideas?

TL:DR Short videos are uploading fine, long videos aren't.

Cheers

What Mac? Does it not have an SD Card slot that you can use rather than the cable? You'd need an adaptor from microsd to sd ..

This is the memory card:

I'm not sure about the test you say?

It's a MacBook Pro. Looks like there is a slot yes but I'll have to get the converter from micro SD.

Small files are fine. But the hour long vids are big. Not sure if it's maybe a case of QuickTime or the GoPro Studio not being able to support it?

Should probably mention I also tried at work on a windows PC to watch them via windows media player and VSL.

Small videos fine but not the big ones.

If you can't do a proper SD card test, load some known good, large files on to that card (fill it to capacity with a subset of your porn collection), and then see if you can play them all back without any issue. If you can't, then you eliminate the GoPro and it starts looking like the card itself is to blame, or at least a problem with how you're using it. When I've had issues with big files not playing on an SD card but small ones playing fine, it's always been a dodgy SD card.

Go Pros require a Class 10 card, that on you have linked is a Class 4

Edit, picture shows Class 4, desription says Class 6 either way, there properly nothing recorded on the larger files

£14 they work a treat

Thanks for all the replies Thumbs Up

I tried my brothers Class 10 chip and it worked fine. Recorded an hours worth and it saved as 4 files.

I haven't tried any more on getting the original cards I had to work, was just testing with that recording so not too fussed.

Cheers
