Riding To Russia

Has anyone on here done it? I have a couple of weeks off in September to go exploring and would really like to aim for St Petersburg (through Denmark, Sweden and Finland)

I know I would need a Visa and extra insurance, but is this a totally stupid idea? If it is maybe I will aim to go North through Norway or Sweden instead.

Not a stupid idea. Visa for bike and person are separate they may not match and therefore you need to be careful. Need to register visa so needs a hotel stay booked in.

Petrol is dirt cheap 48p a litre. Drink is extremely strong and the food extremely filthy due to low hygiene standards and super strong Russian stomachs. Sausages out of a packet we'd eat cooked are eaten raw.
