G'day guys, im down in Australia and incase you didn't know the limit is 250cc whiel your on your Learner's. I've goten my L's and have arranged a loan that i can work off, so money is NOT my worries.
I ahven't had any previous experience with bikes apart from the odd trail bike thrash. So nothing to fast.
Here is what i need in a bike:

- Something reliable and not TOO fast
- Sports or Street that looks cool
- It HAS to have good resale value ( i will sell in less than year to get my P's for car )

Now i have been advised my my family NOT to get a 2 stroke, damn shame cause i had a NSr250 lines up and a KR-1. but they're off the list.

I have been looking at ZZR250's, Across and CBR 250R and 250RR's
Is there any other good learner 250's?

I am also wondering if i am better off buying second hand privately, buying a brand new bike or to buy second hand from a dealer ( dont want 2 buy second hand from dealer to many rip offs in Tasssie )

Im also having lots of problems getting bikes down here and am getting very frusturated. And dont want 2 spend extra money on gonig interstate tog et a bike cause its money im paying off that cant make back!

Help is VERY MUCH NEEDED!

Cheers

Hi there, have you seen Honda's new CBF250 4 stroke naked... quite stylish and i think can easily do 70mph - 80mph. Likewise, the Hysong comet is a stylish V2 alternative, although the name might not be too established over there. Both are naked and decently styled. Very economical too mind. XR's, you can't go wrong with them neither. I'm getting the road biased XR125 this saturday, so i can only imagine what the real deal must be like.

Seeing that you're quite close to Indonesia, ever thought of getting a mongrel bike from there Wink . Seriously, these 3 bikes will suit your bill.

Hope this has been useful
