Hi to all.
This is my first post so a quick introduction of myself.
The last bike I owned was an RD 500 many moons ago when I was a teenage tearaway. Thankfully a survived my younger years being the village idiot on my bike and have matured into a middle aged grump. This year the temptation of owning another bike has got the better of me but after 25 years absence of biking I've decided to start with the basics again. Motorcycling as changed such a lot from my old bad days so I've bought I small 2 t peugeot speed fight 100 from and elderly gentleman who's had it from new with only 1500 miles racked up over its sixteen years of life..Today I had a strange issue with it that one of you knowledgeable members may be able to help.
I have posted it on another forum so I will just paste what I said there , here if that's ok
Hi to all.
While out blowing the air through my hair tonight ( more like strands ) on my little speedy , about 10 miles into my journey the immobiliser light came on and stayed on for the rest of my 15 mile ride. The little scooter carried on going though without any issues. I fact when I got home and turned it off I was half expecting it not to start but it did and now minus the immobiliser light. To my horror when I checked the two Red master keys back at home they were both identical and for the boa lock grrrr which means I have not got a master key for the immobiliser. This has now made me think if the previous owner has bought an after market cdi to by pass the immobiliser because it surly would of stopped the bike when it was illuminated whilst on the road mid journey..
Some advice on this would be very much welcome if you guys have any..
Many thanks for reading.
Johnny

speedfight 1 or 2?

speedfight 1, never worked on the but immobiliser was a crap seperate unit from the cdi with aci400 on it, removeable

speedight 2, dual unit, aci100, race cdi used as bypass as has no immobiliser

red keys on a sf2 are only for programming spare keys in, but the spare keys can be cloned anyway

if it ain't broke............
