NIce refresh - looks like you rattle-canned the tank though, so don't spill any fuel on it. It's like paint stripper on acetone based paint/

the red paint is plasti kote, should be a bit more resistant to fuel I think?

Not the best paint job in the world, but provides a bit of protection to the frame and other bits. We sanded the tank down after a couple coats with 500 grit so it's a bit better. Once we get the mud guard and some stickers on it should look alright

Wait a few days- week until paint is properly hard, then wipe an inconspicuous area with a fuel damped rag..

Interesting, I was considering (at some point) I might paint the tank, mudguards, etc. on my old bike. Probably get a pro to do it rather than cock it up myself Smile

What sort of paint & lacquer would you recommend for a tank?

I'd ask the question in a new thread or search it's been asked many times and you'll get better answers than mine. Short answer is 2k lacquer for fuel resistance. You can buy it in an aerosol/rattle can. The two parts get mixed when you pull a tab or something, then you have a few hours to use it before it cures in the can is my understanding.
