Electrics are dead?! :(

On my KTM my electrics are completely dead.. I'm not sure if I left the ignition on, but all the indicators and everything are dead, when I try the horn there is a little tapping sounds coming from it..

So I bought a charger to charge it up, its been charging for about 4 hours I took it off and put it back in the bike and still nothing Sad What could be the problem? The battery doesn't have to be completely charged first for it to work does it?
